What happens when classic Volvo owners gather? They attract other vintage Volvos. First one appears … then another. Like some strange force in the Universe.
Metallic magnetism perhaps. A Nobel prize laureate in mathematics could likely construct an equation on what this attraction looks like on paper. Instead, I choose to simply sit back and enjoy the resulting scene.
A good number of our chapter members gathered on a warm, Sun-soaked afternoon in October to swap, trade or sell vintage Volvo parts that had been collected over the years. No longer required for our current Volvos, these parts may provide the finishing touch for someone else’s restoration project. Keep these parts in circulation and get those old Volvos back out on the road again.
Our chapter sponsors these Swap Meets which are open to non-club members as well. It provides a good opportunity for them to see first-hand the pristine Volvos that our members have lovingly restored. It was an occasion for them ask questions and receive tips as well as tech know how on various aspects of maintaining and keeping their classic Volvos on the road. Sharing our passion. Sharing the knowledge. Building our community.
